Rachel Haden was born into a family with a rich musical tradition. Her grandparents formed The Haden Family group, which could be heard on radio in the 1940s and ’50s. Her father, Charlie Haden would leave the family group to become a legendary Jazz bassist.  Rachel is, with her sisters Petra & Tanya, a member of The Haden Triplets, whose self titled album was produced by Ry Cooder and released in 2014 by Jack White’s Third Man Records.

Rachel is a founding member of That Dog, who released 3 records on DGC in the 1990s and reunited in 2011. They are currently working on their 4th studio album.

Rachel co-founded The Rentals with Matt Sharp in 1995. They reunited in 2007 for a new ep and tour.

She has toured the world with Jimmy Eat World, Todd Rundgren and Brendan Perry. Rachel has also contributed to records by Grammy award winners Weezer and Beck, and others.
